6 Micro Study 9 – diminished 7 (part 5)

A new idea is then introduced on the end of bar 23 (see above), it is a variation on micro study 8’s dim chords. This time we have a chord, major or minor, in between the diminished 7 chords; the idea then descends the fretboard in a whole tone fragment.

The only extra tip here is, LH finger 1 can be utilized as a guide if it is slightly lifted up off string 4 (still in contact though). Otherwise the same advice from all the other micro studies apply.

This sequence will become important for etude no. 12, it comes again in another slightly more complex guise during the last study. So get used to this movement. You will need it!
